For men and women who lift
Muscle, Not Fat
How natural lifters use insulin sensitivity to build a leaner physique.
Two lifters eat the same 300-calorie surplus for six months. One adds lean mass and stays sharp. The other gains a few pounds of muscle buried under a soft layer of fat. Much of the gap comes down to one variable most lifters never measure: how well their muscle responds to insulin. This guide shows you how to change it.
The idea behind the guide
Your surplus goes where insulin sends it.
Insulin is the hormone that decides where incoming fuel goes. When your muscles respond well to it, glucose and amino acids are pulled into muscle at low insulin levels, and your fat cells get less of the share. When muscle becomes resistant, the pancreas has to release more insulin to clear the same meal, and chronically higher insulin keeps fat storage switched on and fat burning switched off.
Most lifters try to fix this with more calories, more protein or a new supplement. But insulin sensitivity is not a fixed trait. It changes with your last training session, your last night of sleep and your last meal, which means each of them is a lever you control.
The guide in one sentence: make your muscles respond so well to insulin that a small amount does the job, so more of your surplus ends up as muscle instead of fat.
What’s inside, chapter by chapter
Six chapters, from the science to a plan you can follow.

- How to read your own blood work, HOMA-IR included
Chapter 2
Training as a Metabolic Tool
- Why insulin and exercise multiply instead of adding up
- The soreness trap that makes your muscles resistant for two days
- The best cardio for lifters, and the one that eats into your gains
Chapter 3

- The food order that cut blood sugar by 37%, with the same meal
- The two-hour mistake that slows glycogen refilling by 45%
- Which fat to bulk on, and how big your surplus should really be
Chapter 4
Supplements, Ranked by Evidence
- The common supplement that adds glucose “doors” to your muscles
- The kitchen staple that improves insulin sensitivity after a meal

Is this guide for you?
It is, if
- You lift without drugs, man or woman, and want to bulk without the fat or cut without losing muscle.
- You want to understand why a habit works, not just follow a template.
- You like precise answers: grams, hours, blood markers, and the study behind each one.
It isn’t, if
- You are looking for drug or steroid protocols. There are none.
- You have diabetes or take glucose-lowering medication and haven’t talked to your doctor: several strategies here lower blood glucose.
- You want a 7-day transformation. This is a method you apply over weeks.

About Endo & Iron
Who wrote this guide
These guides grew out of the research reading behind a master’s degree in endocrinology and metabolism, in France. Every claim is checked against published, peer-reviewed studies, and every study is listed with a link to the original paper or its official abstract.
Questions
Is it for women too?
Yes. Insulin sensitivity works the same way in every lifter, and the plans scale to your body weight. If you also want what is specific to the female body (the cycle, stubborn fat, cravings), Built Different covers it.
I’m a beginner. Will I understand it?
Yes. Every section ends with an In Plain English summary and a one-line action, and a glossary explains every term. You can read only those boxes and go straight to the plans in Chapter 6.
Do I need blood tests?
No. The guide works without them, but it shows you which markers are worth asking for, how to calculate your own HOMA-IR, and how to test under the right conditions.
Metric or US units?
Metric, like the research it is based on, with pounds next to the numbers you will use and blood values in US units (mg/dL).
Is this medical advice?
No. The guide is educational. If you have diabetes or prediabetes, or take any medication, talk to your doctor before changing anything.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If the guide isn’t what you expected, email contact@endoandiron.com within 14 days of your purchase for a full refund. See the refund policy.
